Storytellers Creative Arts is honored to have Mr. Sean Allen on our team of dedicated volunteers who drive the community programs, reaching thousands in Southwest Florida, one heart at a time.
A native of Southwest Florida, Sean has deep roots and a very personal perspective on our local communities and the diversity of people living around and among us. Currently, he is a project manager in the remodeling and interior design industry working for Interiors by Design West, but his background and experience stretch far beyond the world of his current career. After graduating from Fort Myers High School, Sean attended and graduated from the University of Tampa with a bachelor’s degree in Government and World Affairs. Fully intending on a career in government or law, he served as a White House Intern in Washington, D.C. during a semester of college and then upon returning to Tampa was hired as an intern for a litigation consulting firm that specialized in mock trials and courtroom presentations. Sean was blessed to be hired as a full-time employee by the firm after college graduation and provided courtroom support to attorneys during trials and traveled within the U.S. giving casework assistance to clients.
Nearly ten years ago, Sean moved back to Southwest Florida to begin working in a family general construction business. While very different work than what he had been trained for, he quickly realized that his natural attention to detail and organization helped him succeed in construction management. Since moving back to our area, he has also achieved his lifelong dream of becoming a FAA licensed pilot, become a leader and volunteer in several ministries at Covenant Church of Naples, and recently got engaged to be married.
Sean says he’s especially drawn to the mission of Storytellers Creative Arts because of the joy he’s long found in making art. From an early age, he was attracted to sketching and painting and though the demands of life and career don’t currently afford him much time to make art his creative tendencies still find ways to shine through in his daily work.
Sean Allen shares about his experience as an SCA Volunteer:
Volunteering with Storytellers Creative Arts is always a joy because it’s a chance to help bring together and encourage so many wonderful people to worship the creator God through the arts. Artistic expression is powerful and combined with the message of the gospel can bring about healing, comfort and inspiration to those struggling in a challenging and sometimes ugly world. Whether doing something as simple as serving food to children as they learn new songs and hone their painting skills or watching as adults find healing through their own God given creativity, I feel blessed to be a small part of such an impactful organization.
As SCA continues to grow and impact Southwest Florida and beyond, we are seeking artists, musicians, performers, writers, administrative support, fundraisers and special events coordinators. For more information or to volunteer, please email: email@example.com.
